Meet Jon Stevenson

Former Alabama football player, successful businessman, and dedicated community leader.

Jon Stevenson grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Christian Brothers High School. His high school years focused primarily on football, which paved the way for his enrollment at the University of Alabama. There, he played under Coach Gene Stallings for the Alabama Crimson Tide. During his time at Alabama Jon got to play in the 1st SEC Championship game and the first Bowl Alliance National Championship Game. During his tenure the Crimson Tide went 44-5-1 winning 3 SEC-West titles, 1 SEC Championship, and 1 National Championship. Jon ended up starting in 44 career games and earning All-SEC and All-America honors and was named to the Alabama 1990s All-Decade Team.

After graduating from Alabama with an Economics degree, he returned to Memphis and earned a Master's Degree from the University of Memphis. While in graduate school, Jon and his brother Clark launched their first business, Treadmill Doctor, an exercise equipment repair company. Starting with just a toolbox, a set of hand tools, and the values instilled by their parents, Robert and Anice Stevenson, they built the company into a success over more than a decade. Later, they established Stevenson Enterprises, a real estate investment company specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial properties, alongside their parts business. Additionally, Jon and his brother are partners in the Hernando Golf & Racquet Club, which they have owned, with their partner, for the past seven years. Together they have revitalized the golf course, transforming it into a valuable asset for the City of Hernando.

Jon, his wife Ashley, and their children, Mary and John, are members of the Hernando Methodist Church, where Jon sings in the choir. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the DeSoto Economic Development Council, acts as Finance Chairman for the DeSoto County Republican Party, holds the position of Vice President of the DeSoto County Republican Club,current President of the Hernando Rotary Club and is President of DIG PAC, a political action committee that supports DeSoto County's efforts to secure infrastructure funding from state and federal governments.
